Don't miss this great community event

On Saturday 23 July 2011 Lark in the Park will be taking place at East End Park in Leeds. 

The fun starts at 12noon until 3pm and all the entertainment will be free!

The will be face painting, bouncy castles, raffles, a visit from Ronnie the Rhino, East Leeds FM, a mini Breeze event, the Play bus, Circus workshop, Drum workshop and so, so much more.

Refreshments will be available and there will be games and fun for all.  Come along and bring the whole family for a truly family friendly community event.

We look forward to seeing you all on Saturday, now we just have to fix the weather and we are all set for a fantastic day of fun and games for children of all ages from 2 to 92.

The 2nd Summer Brass Band Concert at East End Park was a great success!

The 2nd Summer Brass Band Concert at East End Park was a great success!  For once the weather was kind and the afternoon was warm and pleasant and the rain held off until after the music finished.

The featured band today was the Altofts & Normanton Brass Band who gave an excellent performance of both old standard Brass Band pieces and newer more modern music.

Refreshments were on offer and these together with a raffle raised £23 for the Friends of East End Park.

As well as those who came to the concert the music was enjoyed by a variety of people also using the park from children playing football, people enjoying a Sunday afternoon walk or others walking their dogs.

As well as those who always attend these concerts we were able to welcome some new people and we hope that for the final Brass Band Concert we will be able to welcome even more people.  The next band concert is on Sunday 21 August at 2.30pm and the featured band is Friendly Brass Band.

2nd Brass Band Concert in the Park

On Sunday 10 July 2011 the Altofts & Normanton Brass Band will be performing at East End Park.

The Concert starts at 2.30pm to 4.30pm behind the Bowling Green.  Come along and enjoy the fun!

There will be refreshments on offer together with good music, company and a chance to meet friends and neighbours.
